We, at St.Margaret's are certified as a Kids' Friendly church by constantly reviewing our children's ministry and encouraging the whole congregation to be intentional Kids Friendly to welcome, nurture and empower children.
Kids Friendly is the children's ministry of the Presbyterian Church of Aotearoa New Zealand. Our church recognises the vital contribution children and families make to healthy congregations and we, at St.Margaret's enjoy the resources and inspiration of the Kids Friendly Coaches.
Representatives from each of the children and youth programmes together with the Ministers and representatives from Session have oversight of the activities for our young people.
For children three years old to year 8. Starts with the 10am meeting in the church, followed by varied activities in Sunday School.

Youth Group meets during term time from 6:30pm - 8pm on Sundays. All year 9s and up are welcome.

A fresh expression of church especially for families who may not want traditional church. This fun, activity-based church happens once a term on a Friday from 5pm - 6:30pm. Includes activities, church and a meal. All families in the community are welcome. Koha.
An opportunity for parents and caregivers of pre-school children to join in singing, rhymes, story and play. All welcome. Gold coin donation.

Girls Brigade meets Tuesdays during term time. Since its foundation in 1893, Girls' Brigade has become well known as a fun, interesting, challenging and relevant provider of activities, skills, care and Christian love for hundreds of thousands of young people.
