About

Session

In the Presbyterian tradition, a congregation calls a minister and elects elders to form a Session to undertake spiritual oversight, leadership in mission, pastoral care and provide for governance. It plays a role in the wider community. St. Margaret’s Session and meets once a month.

Our buildings

In 2018 our church and hall were strengthened to withstand earthquakes. For over five years we were unable to worship in the church itself, but we are now joyfully back.

Family Team

The Family Team consists of representatives from each of the children and youth activities within the congregation together with the Ministers and representatives from Session. The team has oversight of the activities for our young people coordinating their programs for at least a term in advance. Additionally, it acts as a point of contact for all new families in the congregation.

Managers

The Board of Managers is elected at the St. Margaret’s Annual Meeting. They look after the maintenance of the buildings and church finances.
